Day in Day out

I’ve struggled lately with the Day in and Day out
I admit I’m in over my head
But I know when I see your eyes I’m right as rain
And walking so tall again
I’ll pick you up around 8
I’ll meet you outside, we’re still on even If it’s been raining
Or if desert wind’s blowin' across the horizon, Wait for me
And we’ll both somehow just try to breathe in
And when the stars all lay across the beautiful sky
You and I’ll belong up there shining all night
So don’t worry, not tonight
And don’t let them win and dare destroy our time
Darlin’ you know no matter what
If it’s not too much to ask for
Let’s run, leaving em’ all long behind In the Day in and the Day out

You said i acted like a teenager, and you sounded like you know and it seemed like you love to analyze the game and generate some pain when you said i acted more like a teenager

Madelaine

Charlie was a driver on the night trains
And he loved a little woman called Madelaine
He gave her everything anyone could own
A big diamond ring and a fancy home
But Madelaine wanted something more from life
She’d drive around the city and offer any ride
She’d slipped through their back door
A dozen men or more
He came home a little early from working late
Where he found her with a man about half his age
When Maddy tried to run he lost his brains
He cut ‘em into pieces in a blinding rage
By the time he tamed all was deathly quiet
Charlie was afraid he’d contemplated dying
Cos there layin’ on the floor
Was the girl he’d once adored
Look Charlie, long at what you’ve done!
Well Charlie drove ‘em out and dug ‘em shallow graves
He left bloody fingerprints on his rusty spade
The police came around and took him by fright
They took Charlie down the lock up and threw him inside
Charlie wore the blame when sent away for life
And round his walls of shame he’d drawn pictures of his wife
He was found hanging on his door
With a note to say he’d gone
To be with Madelaine once more
With Madelaine

I feel love

It was on a stormy night, the rain it came down, thunder roared and lighting curtained off the town, the wind it cried her name, love was born that day.
I know she's the closest soul to me, I know we'll get along without explaining, I don't need anymore i can't help say that I feel love
She can always remind me and her mother all the time
That it's alright we both know that she can light up skies of grey
That hang overhead some days and pour in over me again
When she comes around to stay, she's such a sweet child
I know she's the closest soul to me and I know we'll get along without explaining, I don't need anymore i can't help say that I feel love
From the day she came like a golden light something changed me inside
Now the storms go by and don't spoil the weekend cos she can light up skies of grey that hang overhead some days that pour in over me again when she comes around to stay she's such a sweet child
I know she's the closest soul to me and I know we'll get along without explaining I don't need anymore i can't help say
I feel love

Astelle and Matt they'd once shared a life
Travelling circuses, walking hire wires
Astelle was learning, Matt had taught her the lot
The two lovers were tying the knot.
Night after night the curtains went up,
The crowd cheered when they could bear to look
When Astelle would fall Matt would catch her in time
Together they both would share in the light
(She learned) to walk down the wire he'd taught her to fall right
She'd close both her eyes and take it slow
Any risks taken on, he'd just take alone, til' one night
One mistake her love couldn't survive.
Astelle went numb, the crowd left her cryin'
For a break in the wire had cost Matt his life
Now his ghost's in her head when she closes her eyes
He talks to her when she's up walking the wires
For the curtain it never came down
